I watched the movie RRR (2022) on Netflix almost two years ago and it was great.

It was probably my only other introduction into Indian Action Movies from aka Bollywood (as they call it?) outside of the time I watched Slumdog Millionare (2008) if you can count that.

And while I had previously watched other clips of meme level status of Indian films online like, i.e. Robot(2010),—-

I wasn’t immediately compelled to take a serious dive into the genre . So when I did check it out to surprise imy expectations were met and then some. Outside of the action and some banger dance numbers what really drew me in was the appreciation our heroes had towards their own culture which was an underlying plot of the story. Minor spoilers, there were some really intense themes going on racially with the Brits and I still haven’t done much research in the history of when the British occupied India’s territories wayback when and all that jauf, which, as you can expect was another significant part of the plot. But the reason I’m bringing this up is because all that aside it was at the viewing recommendation of Woolie and Pat respectfully of the YouTube channels WoolieVersus and PatStaresAt that I checked this film out.
[Edit: And oddly enough RRR got a lot weird attention 2023 the year following it’s release. Deservedly, but still weird]

And just recently I watched a video from VersusWolves

a sub channel of Woolie and SuperEyepatchWolf which they collaborate and do really awesome overviews of mixed medias ranging from books to movies, videogames and the Vengeance trilogy by Park Chan-Wook was enforced by their own guidelines to be watched by Mr. SuperEyePatchWolf by and Woolie for his viewing pleasure—

—and out of curiosity I took a gander and now I’m writing this post as a show of gratutude, because I’m only 2 out of 3 films deep and they have been bangers to say the least and I will be writing about them in the near-distant future. So shoutout to Team WoolieVs for reccomending some good shit and if I might add for staying cool all these years because when my mental health took a serious dive because of Pussy Kuns antics with all the hacking bullshit, their channels WoolieVs/PatStaresAt (in addition to a few other people) were what really kept me going and they’ve been consistent and entertaining all these years which I’m quite thankful for. And I know I’m going off on a tangent but ya gotta give credit when credit is due, so I’m going to continue being a fan and hopefully I can meet them at a Con down the line and give them both a handshake of gratitude (including Mr. EyePatchWolf) . And in case for whatever reason they happen to read this. They’re Canadian, I fucks with Canada ๐จ๐ฆ and on behalf of The United States ๐บ๐ธ God Bless America๐บ๐ฒ๐บ๐ฒ๐บ๐ฒ,
“sorry about the tariffs.”
Anyways, Stay Cool
