THE WRESTLER (2008)- Tough movie. This one’s been on the backburner for a while and I finally checked it out. I have to say it was very enjoyable, however, as it’s been revealed I am a fan of pro-wrestling so please note my opinions are very biased but I know this movie also had some mild controversy surrounding it at the time of it’s release, for instance, it was a return of sorts performing a major role for Mickey Rourke who underwent some struggles prior, but it was a success earning $44.7 million worldwide with a budget of about 6 million USD, also for those who know, Mickey Rourke had some beef with pro-wrestler Chris Jericho for a while, but they worked it out. Again, tough movie with a tough ending so much so that I can’t say I wanted more from the end or if it was just enough. If I had any gripes the romance could’ve been explored a little more but from what I’ve gathered there was stuff going on behind the scenes, I don’t know any specifics so I’ll just leave it at that.
NOTE: I would love to see a female wrestler version of this movie or just of a female wrestler in general.

SCANNER DARKLY (2006)- Paranoia thy name is D. Another movie I’ve had on the backburner. I could say this one’s kind of a cult classic at this point in history. It stars Keanu Reeves and some other big names like Robert Downy Jr. and it’s based off a novel by a Philip K. Dick and if you do some research I’ll let you know now if you’ve got a conspiracy itch you need to scratch it’s a real rabbit hole. After watching, very melancholy.

ZOOTOPIA 2 (2025): It was good. Was it the greatest movie Disney ever made?
Meh,
but still good.
NOTE: Shoutout to YMS to anyone following the Chinese Zodiac we’re entering the year of the (fire) horse

WHAT’S EATING GILBERT GRAPE (1993)– Still not done watching but for some odd reason I felt compelled to give it a gander. Caught some snippets of it growing up but never sat through the whole thing but from what little I did remember I had the impression the family of Johnny Depp’s character (Gilbert) only consisted of himself, the younger brother and the mother (It would’ve been a better movie had it been imo), so I had other thoughts of what it was actually supposed to be and by that I thought there was more misery in the movie (not that I wanted it) but it was quite the opposite and the person who struggled the most imo was the mother who developed an eating disorder and succumbed to obesity/depression after the death of her husband and the family who; despite the younger brothers mental illness, to me at least, had a very good relationship with one another, and by the end, which I skipped to, I knew whatever hardships they faced they’d be able to recover from. I could go deeper but, I’m good.
NOTE: Leonardo DiCaprio played the fuck out of that role💐💐💐 (also RIP Darlene Cates)

ARGYLLE (2024) – SO I remember watching a trailer for this back in 2023 and the trailer gave me the impression that Hollywood is back in business and were witnessing a return to form of blockbuster type cinema coming back in the wake of covid-19 aftermath and I got a little excited, and then I just didn’t hear anything else about the film and up until recently, I thought it might’ve been a feaux trailer of sorts as a means of advertising some other thing but when I looked it up I found it was an actual movie so I decided to check it out and spoiler alert, it sucked.

NO OTHER CHOICE– One of the best worse movies I ever watched and by worse I mean the series of events in the film. No spoilers, but I was on the edge of my seat the entire time, I had to take breaks to calm my anxiety. It was a lot.

BATTLE ANGEL– It popped up in my algorithm so I checked it out. Definitely brought back some nostalgia. in the form of retro 90’s style anime featuring , graphic imagery, ultraviolent gore, and complex themes don’t know why there was never a series that followed after but I know the manga exist so I’ll give it a read eventually.

FIRE FORCE S3– I think this is the final season. I’m a fan so it’s nice to know I have something else to watch on my show rotation.

NECRONOMICO AND THE COSMIC HORROR SHOW– Watched this a while back just out of curiosity. Character designs and animations were pretty good, but, I didn’t really care for the story. I don’t have an exact point of reference off-hand but I had a feeling something similar had been done before, but better… and it didn’t really grab me, so I skipped to the ending.

BIGTOP BURGER– An original YouTube mini-series /labor of love . It’s interesting just wish the episodes were 10 minutes long instead of 5

THE AMAZIING DIGITAL CIRCUS– I keep forgetting to post about it but this series blew up from it’s initial release in 2023 so a lot of people like it. I think it’s cool but there is a gimmick, and the gimmick is is that there’s an existential dilemma in like, every episode and if you’re not spiritually disciplined or somewhat resistant to the kool-aid being offered I can’t recommend watching it without caution.

THE WONDERFULLY WEIRD WORLD OF GUMBALL– Watched this one a while back and if you don’t know Gumball it’s like Family Guy for kids and if you don’t get it
it just is what it is.

JIGOKURAKU (HELL’S PARADISE) S2– Anime fantasy/violence/ninjas/Violence/Samurais/VIOLENCE. Good animation. Decent self contained story. No complaints

FATE/STRANGE FAKE– The fate series is one of legend at the this point and it’s a story line spanning across multiple series of spanning across different mediums like books, light novels/manga, video games each with varying and intersecting realities and for anyone curious Youtuber Gigguk gives a pretty decent explanation to the best of his ability about what’s happening in it so here’s a link. But anyways, I watched a few episodes so for the time being “I’m in” until further notice.

BROAD CITY– Dope show about some dope chicks in New York City. Ended way too soon imo we needed 6 seasons and a movie gotdammit.

NEWS RADIO– 90’s sitcom. Finally decided to check this out. 2 episodes in no real opinions I chuckled here and there, but definitely a product of it’s time. I had no idea this aired on NBC and I don’t ever remember any advertisement for this show growing up but on a similar note I was a fan of Just Shoot Me starring David Spade which aired two years later on NBC.

FOUNDFLIX– Horror movie synopsis.
I like this guy because he keeps the atmosphere of his videos chill and he doesn’t try to create discomfort for the audience by putting on a weird spooky voice or anything like that when describing parts of a movie.

CRACKED COMEDY CLUB– Comedy

LAUGH AFTER DARK– Comedy

DON’T TELL COMEDY– Low-key Comedy

DOUG STANHOPE– A comedians comedian

JUSTIN GAETHEJE VS PATTY PIMBLETT UFC 324– Couldn’t see the full thing but It was pretty dope. Neither of these men wanted to lose, but unfortunately for Patty, Justin Gaethje proved to be the sturdier of the two, but it was a very well fought match. In the beginning Patty started off pretty strong, however, what really stood out to me about Gaethje’s approach in the beginning is that a few times during the fight he tanked a lot of Patty’s strikes pushing through to deliver his own and I was like, “Holy shit he is not fucking around.” (final boss mode activated). Patty got knocked down a few times and Gaethje seemingly letting him stand up? There were some very brutal exchanges including headshots but it wasn’t enough to stop these men from tearing into each other consistently. Their tenacity was on full display and towards the end of the fight Patty seemed to have gotten the download (Fighting game lingo for learning an opponents strategy) on Gaethje and switched to arm and leg strikes which seemed effective but, in the end, Gaethje retained his title.
Would love to see a rematch.

JOE ROGAN: BURN THE BOATS– 1 out of 5. He came out on stage, yelled out a bunch of stuff and got a free check from Netflix.

ROBIN WILLIAMS: WEAPONS OF SELF DESTRUCTION 2009– Robin Williams passed on some, not so great terms. He suffered mental illness that wasn’t all that publicized and out of respect for Robin Williams I don’t want to talk about it.

JET LI– Jet Li made a video. It popped up in my algorithm. Ironically, I remember a rumor that spread some years back about him being in not so good health not sure of the validity of it, but he seemed well.

HARDSTYLE AGGRESSIVE WORKOUT MUSIC PLAYLIST– music for muscles

JESSE JAMES WEST– Muscle culture bro

JRE– He’s a government asset at this point and it’s ironic that we both worked under the same company at one point in time. I don’t think he’ll fuck it up but I’m curious to see who his future replacement is going to be.
Also, if Joe Rogan was hypothetically stealing my information and using it for his own gains (which he is) and he were able to read this post I’d offer him a message along the lines of:
“I don’t know you. You don’t know me and I don’t owe you shit. I’m very reasonable, so you can help me, offer a (financial) apology, or, let it get weird.“
― G. Michael Hopf

TWITTER– I’m starting to get less chubby/cute asian women and now my algorithm is regurgitating instagram type content including things I’ve previously watched/looked at. Recently Elon Musk made the X algorithm source code available to the public.

INSTAGRAM– It’s doomscrolly
