Comedian Big Jay Oakerson executive member of The Legion Of Skanks dropped a comedy special on Youtube that you can watch (I’ll post a link), it’s called Them/They which is a 2 part special the 2nd of which is airing on April 20th .
I’ve been a fan of the guy and his comedy stylings for quite some time and to go a little further beyond I’ve always pictured him as the lead actor for Coop for the live-action Megas XLR screenplay I’ve got running in my mind.
(“We gotta beat the Glorfts Jamie!”)
But for background I was about 17 years old (possibly 18) when I first saw him perform on Comedy Central presents. A show of long days past back when Comedy Central was one of the bigger hubs for comedy entertainment and I was instantly a fan.
Till this day that episode is still one of my favorite sets of his but comparing it to his new standup now Im happy to say he’s way better from then and even after all these years he’s still going strong.
And spoiler alert (not really) Them/They if you didn’t know, the entire special is crowd work which means on the spot improvisation and I will say it’s some good ass crowd work too (🔥) and a real testament of his talent.
